More Than a Headshot | Brand Shoot for a Designer

This isn’t just a brand shoot—it’s a creative reclamation.

Meet CK: a multi-passionate brand designer who once followed the polished path of success as a law clerk, until hustle culture dimmed her spark.

At 21, she pivoted—from legal briefs to brand briefs—and began building a business rooted in strategy, storytelling, and self-expression on her terms.

When she contacted me, her energy was electric, vibrant, and unapologetically bold. I knew I didn’t want to just photograph her—I wanted to frame the spirit of her story.

So I brought along some of my own design books, intentionally woven into the set to reflect her identity as a creative.

We layered in elements of her Filipino heritage—her Asian pantry, her beloved Indomie!

Those subtle yet powerful symbols of home and culture.

Every object, every frame, was chosen to reflect not just what she does, but who she is.

Because brand photography, to me, isn’t about curating a polished version of yourself.

It’s about coming as you are—and celebrating that fully.

That’s what I want for every person I photograph.
That’s what I want for myself.

Are you ready to tell your story?
